From December 13 to December 19, 2024, Girafarig will appear in the Terarium at an increased spawn rate with a high chance of appearing with a Intellectual Mark!
This event will build up to the release of Shiny Rayquaza's Tera Raid Event, which will be held from December 20, 2024 to January 5, 2025.

Mass Outbreak Locations
Girafarig's Mass Outbreak Event will be held in the Terarium, which means that only those that have purchased the DLC, which includes The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk content, will have access to this Mass Outbreak.
Event Locked Behind Base Game and Teal Mask Post-Game
Girafarig's outbreaks will only appear in The Indigo Disk's Terarium, which is only accessible if you have finished both the base game and The Teal Mask's stories.
That means that if you want to hunt for a Girafarig with an Intellectual Mark, you need to finish both the base game and The Teal Mask.

To join this mass outbreak event, you need to connect your game to the Internet to update the game data. Once done, Girafarig Mass Outbreaks should start appearing in the Terarium!
To connect to the Internet, simply press the X button to open the menu and press the L button to connect to the Internet.

Girafarig Can Have the Intellectual Mark
During the Mass Outbreak Event, Girafarig caught have a higher than usual chance of having the Intellectual Mark, conferring upon them the "the Scholar" Title when used in battles.
Stock up on Sandwiches and Poke Balls to help you catch a Pokemon with the mark you want!
1 in 20 Chance of Getting Intellectual Mark
There is around a 1 in 20 or a 5% chance for the Intellectual Mark to appear on a Pokemon in this Mass Outbreak Event!

Mark Charm May Increase Chance of Getting Marked Pokemon
The Indigo Disk DLC has added the Mark Charm item in the game, which raises the chance of encountering marked wild Pokemon. It is likely that this will also increase the chance of encountering marked Pokemon during the event.
To get the Mark Charm, you need to register all Pokemon appearing in the Blueberry Pokedex.
